IMO environmental regulations and guidelines for emissions and air pollution

The development of IMO regulations and guidelines for reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in shipping under MARPOL Annex VI is overseen by the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC), supported by the work of the Sub-Committee on Pollution Prevention and Response (PPR) and Intersessional Working Group on Reduction of GHG Emissions from Ships (ISWG-GHG).
